Joel Gamez Memorial Fund

On June 2, 1972, Joel Jaime Gamez was born to E.G. and Florinda Gamez. He was the baby of the family and it showed!! Hard working, determined, strong, driven, selfless, successful, handsome, funny and LOVING! Those are all understatements. He was by far the most goofy, helpful, cool yet stern Brother/ Uncle/ Cousin and Friend that all of us loved so much. He would always help and do for others before ever thinking of himself. Joel worked hard all of his life and raised his son to do the same. Joel was such a strong person and when he fought he fought hard! He pulled through after his stroke and continued to fight. For some reason God felt that it was Joel's time to go.

Just before noon on February 22, 2020, Joel gained his angel wings. Free of pain and heartache. Off to a better place where he is able to watch over all of us.

He leaves behind his son, Daryn Gamez and family.

Uncle Joel, we will mourn you until we join you! ❤️

Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, Tx.

Visitation will be Thursday the 27th from 6 to 8 pm.
Funeral will be Friday the 28th at 10 am.
