This fundraiser is for Joel Chalfant (29), who grew up in Athens, Ohio and currently lives in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Friday, January 22, Joel had a serious motorcycle accident and has been in ICU with a traumatic brain injury. Though in an induced coma, he has shown signs of responsiveness and his family is ever hopeful for his recovery. The medical costs are mounting and will be substantial. His physical therapy will be extensive and many months. **Joel did not have medical insurance** so this fundraiser is not just to cover a deductible - it's for everything.
