Not many people would be aware that Joel one of the former owners that opened up Team Quest Thailand in Chiangmai back in 2011 has been extremely ill.
He had to leave Thailand and get back to America because his health was getting so bad.
Joel doesnt like to talk about it very much but he needs help so ive started this for people to reach out to him
Joel has been battling Lyme disease and Mold illness, cruel diseases that have left him bedridden at one time for over 18 months because the diseases went undiagnosed for many years that progressed.
Joel’s wife Fang has been working 2 jobs the last 3 years to cover medical bills and to support him, but the bills have added up. They have spent 10’s of thousands of dollars out of pocket and have racked up a lot of medical/financial debt battling this.
Joel had made huge strides, even getting back to work part time at one time but then the lyme disease relapsed. Because the disease went undiagnosed for so long, it progressed. Joel is suffering severe pain, brain impairment, extreme food allergies, and severe environmental chemical sensitivities, at one point Joel was only able to literally eat rice and lettuce for 14 months without having severe reactions.
His chemical sensitivities have become just as extreme often sending him into anaphylaxis and needing medical care. There is no medicare or government funding as the American government refuses to acknowledge the tens of thousands of Americans battling this terrible illness.
Joel’s treatments over the next year are estimated at 12,000 dollars, which is huge to any young family, especially when their main provider hasn’t been able to work since early 2018.
This is so tough, not only for Joel, but also for his wife who has been juggling multiple jobs, taking care of Joel, on top of all the other daily things she needs to do. If we can help,
I am hoping we can take some of the financial pressures off their shoulders, so they can focus on what is most important which is getting Joel Back to being healthy which he so desperately wants.
All funds raised go directly to Joel and Fang Bowen, to help pay for Joel’s Lyme disease treatments.
