I'm sure almost all of you know me well, for those of you who don't,  I'm an ER nuse and an avid motorcyclist. On my way into work Wed the14th I was struck on the freeway by a motorist changing lanes. The gentleman was visibly upset, he isn't a bad person, it was just an accident, thats all.
  However, I ended up with some broken bones, no use of my right hand or arm and unable to work for an unknown period of time. We just moved into a house after living in an efficency apartment for the past 2 1/2 years we have been in California and exhausted all of our resources. Which was ok, initialy, because my income and side projects were going to make ends meet. All hopes for that are now, obviously, unforseeable for the next couple of months.
  As it sits now, we will not be able to make but a fraction of our bills. I have filed for my short term disability but with the holidays and being dependent on the speed and efficency of governmet entitys, will most likely not take effect untill mid to late January.
   Fortunatly, the kids all understand tha Christmas will be postponed and they are good with that. However, landlords and utility companies are not so ameniable.
   It is with much humility that I come to you for help, I have always prided myself in my independence and ability to do many things to help make an income. I must bow my head and accept the fact that, for a while, I am unable to do so. I have dedicated most of my adult life to doing for and helping others as a Nurse,Medic, Firefighter and such, so this is quite alien to me. Now it is time for me to let my independence and pride in self-sufficency take a side seat and let God take over through the kindness and humanity of my fellow man.  He has blessed me with many talents and abilities, now believe he is teaching me humility and that is ok to ask for help.
  Anything you can do will be appreciated, everything you do will be loved and I still believe prayers are one of the greatest commodities we have.
