Marlene and Joel Alfieri need our help. After a series of financial setbacks, the burden has become too overwhelming to handle alone. Besides being senior citizens on a very limited income, they have medical expenses that include frequent doctor visit co-pays and high cost medications. Recently, they had to make the heartbreaking decision to leave their home that they love and have lived in for 20 years. A week ago, Joel had a stroke. He has been returned home, fortunately, but the stress of having yet another hospital visit bill is putting the Alfieri’s in a further disadvantaged position. Everyone, who has had the pleasure of meeting Marlene and Joel, knows what a compassionate, sweet, and giving couple they are.
