Joel and Amanda Hartley and Kids

Hi, this is David and Beth Hartley, we’re setting this fundraiser up for 5 people that mean the world to us. Our sister-in-law, Amanda, is in the end stages of her 4-year battle with colon cancer. Fortunately we have been blessed with much more time than we had been told we would have. She has always been a fighter and it has shown again in her biggest battle in life! We have loved the extra time that we have been given with her but unfortunately the end is very near.

Joel has been the ultimate husband and stepdad, always being there to help with the kids and with Mandy’s care when anything is needed.

He took a leave from work 2 months after they were told she had 6 months left, to help take care of the needs she would have and to enjoy making memories with her and the kids as long as her health allowed. Fortunately for everyone, she defied the odds; 6 months came and went, and we are now at 18 months from getting that news. Joel attempted to go back to work, but needed to stop soon after, due to Mandy’s health starting to decline and her needing much more care. This has left the finances to be a struggle, and with her future in heaven very close, I want to do something to help Joel get back on his feet as he transitions from husband and caregiver to Mandy, to going back to work and helping care for the kids needs.

She brought 3 awesome kids into their marriage, and my brother has spoken numerous times to me about helping to give them the things that they need as they all learn how to live without their Mom being here with them.
