Can you see us as missionaries - planting churches abroad? This is something we have been considering for the past several years; wrestling with what God has called us to do, to be. As Joe has continued in his seminary journey, it is becoming more and more clear that He is calling us to be brave, to boldly follow Him into a life overseas. We think the timing is now right to begin to pursue this desire God has planted in our hearts. So what does this mean, and what are the next steps?
We are looking into partnering with an organization called Christian Associates; whose mission is to establish churches who follow Jesus in transforming their world. CA has churches all over North and South America, and Europe. 

We have two next steps that we are asking you to partner with us on, both in prayer and financially.

The first is an opportunity for Joe to go to Prague in July; this is CA's annual leadership conference. Joe will be there as a volunteer memeber of a worship team, but he will have a chance to meet many members of leadership, develop relationships, and get a better feel for this orginization. 

The second is called Engage - this is an intense 5 day event that helps us to understand; 1) our Calling, 2) how God has wired us (our strengths, weaknesses, personalities, leadership characteristics, cross cultural adaptation), 3) our spiritual gifts and how these complement each other, and 4) if churchplanting is a wise way for us to serve Jesus.

Altogether, these trips will cost around $6,000 for airfare, hotel and registrations. Would you pray for us as we embark on this journey, and pray about contributing financially to help us as well?
