Joe Cloutier, my baby (big) brother, is an amazing father to his two young kids- Joshua (4) and Aubrey (2).  He is also a fantastic husband to Cassy Cloutier, and the best brother anyone could ask for.  He’s always willing to help and is there whenever we need him.  He works hard to support his family, while Cassy is a fabulous stay-at-home mama.


On Thursday, February 21, after months of increasing headaches, migraines, and finally limb numbness, Joe was rushed to the ER.  Once at North Memorial, a brain MRI was performed, and the diagnosis was in; he has a Hemangioblastoma- brain tumor- in his frontal lobe.


While the tumor is not cancerous – thankfully! – it will still require a lengthy hospital stay, surgery, and around 6 weeks of missed work. 

Current treatment includes staying in the hospital for IV steroids to reduce brain swelling.  Surgery to remove it is scheduled for Monday, February 24.


Joe and Cass will need help with medical bills insurance doesn’t cover, day to day bills, as well as food and items for the kids.  Any amount you can contribute will be greatly appreciated.
