Joe Wolf - Local musician in great need!

Hi, my name is Mary Ann Khoury. I am fundraising for my brother, Joe Wolf. Joe is my youngest brother and has always been kind and caring for people. He has always worked hard and offered himself to help anyone that comes across his path. Joe began his musical career while in high school and was always playing gigs with his fellow musicians in Wichita and throughout this country. In recent years he has been unfortunate with his health - having a knee replacement, shoulder and elbow surgery - and now impending hip replacement. These health problems have made it more difficult for him to maintain a job other than musical gigs with his friend - Wolf Bones duo. This story of the robbery that has devastated him is something I hear everyday - with his tears and total disbelief that this is how he is living at this time in his life. Along with his loss, he is in great need of counseling and I am trying to establish him with this service. Funds will be used for clothing, food, replacing items that were stolen - especially his guitar and harmonica so he will be able to resume his musical efforts locally, thus bringing is some funds for his living expenses. Other items that he is in need of are: laptop computer, winter clothing, ongoing living expenses, and food. Some things will never be replaced like his favorite KC Chiefs Special Edition jacket designed when they won their first Super Bowl - no longer available. Truthfully, he is in need of everything it takes to live his daily life. Anything you would give would be greatly appreciated and help him move forward out of this unbelievable crime. I understand that the fire dept and local police are conducting an investigation and they have asked him for a list of everything and the value so they can identify items in case they are found. But, this could take a very long time - if ever. Thank God for close friends who have heard about this tragic loss and have sent him encouragement and been supportive. His best friend since high school has rental properties in Wichita and has moved him into one of his moderate apartments and his friend's wife has found furniture, fixtures for him at garage sales, etc. They both recently moved him into this place and furnished him with what is needed to make him a home. He did not even have a blanket so I gave him some that I have not been using and these things have helped him get somewhat reestablished.

The follolwing is his story of being a victim of home invasion, robbery and arson:

At 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 30 my apartment at 118 North Kessler was broken into. I was out of town and everything of value was stolen from me. Items that were stolen include three acoustic electrical guitars worth over $2,000, my amplifiers which were worth around $1,000, and approximately 20 harmonicas worth $80 a piece. After the items were stolen, the people who did this set my apartment on fire. Everything was a total loss. My furniture and clothing was ruined by smoke, fire and soot. I was left with nothing but the clothing I had taken on my trip with me. Lucky, I had taken a few harmonicas along with me on the trip, so I still have them to play. However, I don’t have the money to all of my musical instruments and all of my furniture and all of my clothing. My musical instruments were something that were more than just a hobby to me. I’ve played the harmonica for over 45 years and have had the pleasure of playing onstage with professional musicians for quite a long time. This has been a devastating loss. To be 71 years old and suddenly have nothing is more than devastating---especially when everything was taken from me in the manner that this happened. I am hoping to set up a Go Fund Me page seeking around $7,000. Any and all assistance would be very much appreciated.
