It’s always difficult to truly be vulnerable and ask for help—especially in such a public way. To be honest, I’m not sure I’ve ever would have done so myself. But after the hardest year of my life, navigating the growing challenges of a debilitating health condition, my brother in arms Paul Mason has kindly set up this fundraiser for me.

The condition affects my nervous system. Along with chronic pain, it has led to serious digestive issues that mean my body can’t properly absorb food. I’ve already lost 14kg and the weight is still dropping. This skinny cowboy can’t get much leaner, let me tell ya.

The procedure I need will significantly improve my condition—if not completely curing it. Unfortunately, it isn’t covered by private health insurance or Medicare. After a year of lost work and mounting medical bills, the cost of this procedure is becoming harder and harder to manage.
