Hello, hope this note finds you well. My name is Wendy Stevens and my husband of 37 years, Joe Stevens has been diagnosed with advanced liver failure. He has been fighting this since March 2023. He has a rare form of Cirrhosis that is genetic and it caught him and his family by surprise. I suspect many of you have had the fortune of meeting and possibly working with Joe and know he is a good man. He has been a faithful, loving husband and father and since the age of 18 he has taken care of his family, never asking for help. He is now very sick.
As a result of his illness he has lost his job and insurance and we find ourselves in a tough situation. Since he lost his medical insurance and income we have been burning through our savings at an accelerated pace. Joe Stevens would never ask for help so I am going to ask for him - if you can donate even the smallest amount it will mean the world to us.
A transplant is his only option and there are 15,000 people on the list. Most die before they can get a transplant. I write this as the devastated wife of a wonderful caring man. He needs constant care which I gladly accept and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my request.
Wendy Stevens
