My name is Dee and I am daughter of Laurie. Joe Shank is my step dad. He tested positive for covid aug 19th, he fought through it and my mom was with him everyday taking care of him . He was brought to hospital on August 26th and admitted to ICU with covid pneumonia. He was stable for about a week and then suffered from a heart attack. Everything went down hill after that and he was put on a vent August 31st due to blood pressure and oxygen levels. Unfortunately joe was too weak and they had done all they could do. We lost a very special man today September 8, 2021 around 1:30am. This is so devastating to everyone, Joe was such a sincere man and he loved my mother unconditionally and she felt the same. God brought the two of them together and they saved eachother. I do not understand why this happen but i know that Joe will always be with anyone that knew him . I know there are so many people struggling right now. However if you are able to help please do. Anything will help at this time for medical bills as well as time to heal. We are so appreciative for everyones prayers and love they have shown already and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This is going to be a tough road, I have faith with continuous prayers we will get through this tragedy and Joe will help us along the way. God Bless You All.
