Joe Schactman’s sister AMY SCHACTMAN needs our help!

A catastrophic hip injury and emergency hip replacement surgery have left her unable to work, drive, or fully self-care for a few months while she recovers and rehabs.

Amy’s finances are tight and urgent and we can help her get through this!

For the past 20+ years Amy has been a tireless Pilates and yoga coach, working alongside physical therapists for seniors and the disabled in rehab and injury prevention, as well as in private practice for individuals of all ages. As a dancer she has choreographed, taught, and danced throughout the USA and Mexico. Amy is suddenly disabled and has no recourse to ongoing support beyond publically available social services.

In addition to rent and a companion dog to support, she has a looming array of medical expenses, which will exceed her modest insurance coverage. Amy lives alone, without a family to fall back on. Let’s help Amy get back on her feet and return to the work she loves!
