My brother Joey is 41 years-old. Anyone who knows Joe knows he is a guy who would give you the shirt off his back whether you just met him or have known him your whole life. All who know him say, "their is no one who doesn't love Joey". As some of you may already know, he is incredibly sick. This month, he was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with renal failure.
Joey is facing an extremely long, and challenging road ahead. He is in need of a liver transplant which could take as long as a minimum of 3-6 months to receive. Between now and then (should he live long enough to see that day) he will require hospitalization, dialysis, medications and treatments.
Joey has made some improvements over the last few days. His kidneys have been stabilizing while still on dialysis. He has moved out of ICU and we are staying as positive as we can.
We are doing everything possible to get medical coverage worked out so that Joe can continue to get the long term care that he needs. Considering the time he has already spent In the hospital, along with the treatment, medication, etc. he will need going forward, we fear his care may be compromised if we are unable to keep up with all of the medical expenses.
ANY contribution you are able to make will be greatly, greatly appreciated. This is not easy for us to ask, and we recognize all families face hardships at some point in their lives. All contributions will go directly to Joe’s increasing medical expenses.
We are so grateful for your support and prayers. All of your messages, calls, comments on social media, etc., are so greatly appreciated. We are keeping Joe aware of all your well wishes and support and he is profoundly grateful.
We will post updates on his condition as things progress.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
