Help provide house fire relief for Joe Niedbala

UPDATE #2: Tuesday, 11/28/2023
This is a message from Joe himself: As I have yet to know what even the next week will bring, it is so heartening that your generosity has given me the security to breathe a little easier right now. What the situation looks to be at this moment is that I will likely be displaced for around 9 months. I will have to relocate myself, as well as put all my belongings into storage during the repairs and renovations. People have reached out with so much love and support and I can’t express how lucky I am. Yes, I am nervous, yes, I am scared, but you all have helped mitigate that immensely. I love you all.

UPDATE#1: Sunday, 11/26/23
Thanks SO much to everyone who has so generously given so far to support Joe at the beginning of his long road back home. It's so uplifting to know how much appreciation and care there is for him in this world. He himself is a big man with a great big heart of his own. I know that he is humbled... blown away by the help and love flowing his way.

We've increased the goal for this fundraiser because it's slowly becoming clear what Joe's up against in both the time it's going to take to restore his home to move-in condition, and how much more expensive life is going to be for Joe during that time, in ways outside of what insurance can be expected to cover. YOUR gifts are building the bridge he needs to get from here to there. - THANK YOU!!

Hi - This is Bob Perry, Executive Director of the Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation, on behalf of our whole team, seeking to raise funds for our friend, Joe.

Joe is our colleague and Director of Operations at the Museum. On Thanksgiving evening, November 23, 2023, the building he lives in (on the left in the cover photo) caught fire from an adjacent house where the fire started.

Every person and pet safely escaped, but the fire caused extensive damage. Fortunately, Joe's condo escaped fire damage but did sustain water damage. Unfortunately, he will be displaced for quite some time to come.

This GoFundMe is an effort to raise funds to help Joe get resettled in temporary housing and get the process of recovering from this tremendous setback underway as quickly and smoothly as possible.

Thank you so much for contributing your support to this effort to help our friend Joe in his time of great need!
