In Memory of Joe Motta

On Tuesday November 12, 2024 Joseph “Joe” Motta unexpectedly passed away, at the young age of 50. He leaves behind his three children, twins Michael and Olivia and Tommy, ages 19 and 16. As a devoted father, Joe worked tirelessly to provide for his kids to ensure they had every opportunity to succeed. Being a father was his top priority. The children now face the great tragedy of this sudden loss with incredibly heavy hearts and irreparable grief. 

Not only have the children lost a father, but the Berlin community lost an amazing friend. Joe was a big part of Berlin.  He not only worked for Berlin’s Highway department, but was an integral part of Berlin sports, specifically the Berlin Football organization. He was incredibly kind, supportive and passionate about all things Berlin. He was a people’s person and devoted countless of hours of his own time.

We’re asking for your help to ensure that Joe’s children have the support they need during this difficult time. Your generous donation will help toward the cost of the funeral arrangements and services. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go first to covering these expenses, and then anything left over will go to the Motta children through this tragic time. 

Joe will be so profoundly missed by everyone who knew him, and we hope that the memory of this kind, wonderful soul will live on forever. Please keep the family in your prayers during this devastating time.
