Joe Monrabal

Hi my name is Yadelin, youngest daughter of Jose Monrabal, or as he was better known, Joe. My dad has been fighting heart disease since he was 33 & on February 4th he went to the hospital, as routine, to have fluids drained due to his swelling. in the 2 days he was in the hospital he had suffered 2 separate heart attacks, on February 8th, his 3rd day in the hospital, he suffered 3 more heart attacks & was rushed into emergency surgery so they could unclog a vein in his heart & stop the heart attacks. In the middle of his procedure, his heart gave out & in an attempt to save his life, his doctors shocked him 15 times with the defibrillator, my dad then spent 3 days in a coma, with promise that he would be waking up, but it is with a heavy heart that we then learned that the act to resuscitate my dad ultimately killed him, the electricity from the defibrillator caused total organ failure. And after a heart wrenching discussion with his doctors my dad was taken off life support on February 11th.

Joe was a beloved dad, the best dad there ever was and the greatest grandfather to his two granddaughters. He was my daughters best friend & favorite person, he was her Tito. My dad was the sole provider for my mom & sadly, left her behind with bills to pay for. My mom has always been a stay at home mom, she helped raise more than just her own kids. My mom assisted with all the children in the family & to this day assists with the care of her granddaughters & is unable to work at this time.

I have since left my home in Texas & moved my family & I into my childhood home to take care of my mom & assist her with her finances and arrangements after the loss of my father. Due to having to relocate back to Miami after losing my dad, I lost my job because my position was unavailable for relocation.

While my mom was advised she would be receiving benefits after my dad passed, these benefits have yet to be provided to her and we do not have an estimated time of when these benefits will be provided, and/or if they will be provided. I never thought I’d find myself asking on a social platform for monetary assistance but here we are…

The funds raised will be going towards assisting my mom with all her past-due bills & to pay off my dads niche to finally place him to rest beside his grandmother. Our family truly appreciates any and all donations. Thank you all so much.
