Late Monday afternoon, our father was on his way home from work on his motorcycle when a car pulled out of a car-wash on Frankford and Long shore ave and proceeded to pull into oncoming traffic in my fathers lane and came to a complete stop waiting to make a left into the opposite side of traffic. This caused him to break hard making his motorcycle slide into the vehicle. Our father got thrown off his bike hitting the ground and rolling 75 feet down the street. Several men ran to help our dad and call 911 and one man ran to the vehicle and proceeded to stand in front of the car trying to stop the driver since he was trying to leave the scene but made his way around and left completely. This mans actions and heartless decision caused our father to be rushed to the emergency room where he had to get immediate surgery on his head due to a brain bleed, 2 hematomas and a scull fracture resulting in swelling of his brain and having to remove the left side of his skull. The list continues with broken bones in his face, ribs, both collar bones, and a collapse lung. This is any motorcycle family’s worst nightmare. Luckily the local authorities were able to find the man who caused all of this and take appropriate action. But that is only a small portion of the help that he needs. We are taking it day by day to monitor him and we are very grateful for the doctors and nurses taking close care of him. We are praying for a full recovery no matter what even if that’s not what we are hearing right now and we would love and appreciate all of your prayers and support as well if you’re reading.
As always, everyone has bills, needs a roof over their head and stability. We as a family are asking for any help possible because this is going to be a very long recovery and he will out of work for a very long time recovering. He has always been a hard working man who gets up and goes to work everyday, he has children and family that he supports and is always there helping others.
for anyone unable to add to this.
