JOE MAXFIELD IS DOWN - BUT HE IS NOT OUT!!!

- The 3rd of August 2023 was Joe’s last day at work because of a sore on his neck that made it extremely uncomfortable to work. The next day Joe went to the Doctor and learned that he had Cancer of the Throat!!! Joe was admitted into the hospital on 12 August and on 31 August he was released after many procedures, having had his first dose of Chemo and a tracheotomy for breathing, a feeding tube, and no voice!!!
- Joe will have his third round of chemo on 29 September and following that he will have daily radiation treatments for seven weeks. Stacy has been taking care of Joe at home and tending to his every need.
- The good news is that his condition is curable, and Joe is hoping to return to work in his carpentry profession in the first quarter of 2024.
- Joe has excellent medical insurance coverage, home medical care, specialty wound care, and excellent Oncologists tending to his recovery.
- Requests from the State of Washington and the Social Security Administration have been made for assistance, but to date nothing has been forthcoming. Through the assistance of close friends, the rent and expenses for September 2023 have been paid.
- In the meantime, rent and other household expenses for Joe and Stacy need to be paid for the next six months. Your assistance is requested in any amount to help Joe until he can get back on his feet.
