Joe Lussier's Passing

Donation protected
Joe was an amazing chef who worked in NY and FL.  He had some challenges earlier in life but found a passion making delicious food.  He loved to play golf and pool.  Joe had a history of health issues and was forced to stop working and go on disability. This alone created financial hardship. On April 15th, after a 14 day battle in ICU his body gave out. His wife Mary Lisa Lussier (Lisa Corey)  must now pick up the pieces, both emotional and financial.

I'm Lisetta Coffin, I met Lisa at YMCA Camp ( Camp Torymca)  in Torrington CT when we were both very young.  She lived down the street from me; we went to Torrington High School.  Lisa is truly a life long friend, when we moved to NY, she followed us to Oneonta and met Joe (in the Autumn Cafe), the love of her life and husband of 20 years. Lisa and Joe spent most holidays at our house whether it was a Summer 4th of July barbecue OR Christmas ( wearing  a paper crown Christmas 2019 Thank-you Lisa!).

Lisa is one of the most giving people I have ever met; her heart is huge and this is exemplified in her decades long career of  working with people who have developmental disabilities.  Lisa is always helping others and it is very hard for her to ask for help.... so I am reaching out on her behalf.

In times of difficulty, people want to help and often say " Let me know what I can do to help."   If you want to help....Now  is the time to give back and make a donation, (if you  want to send flowers it won't be helpful because her cats will want to eat them ;).....so please,  just donate to this cause.

I can be at her side and support her emotionally to my best ability, but we need help with the medical and end of life costs.  No amount is too small.  We have set up a savings account: Lisetta Coffin for Mary Lisa at NBT Bank Oneonta NY, just click the donate button above to make a contribution to this account.

Your help and support is valuable and truly appreciated from Lisa, from Joe's son Kyle ( who he was very proud of and who worked hard to become an RN and is making his life taking care of others).

I thank-you in advance for your care, concern and any donation that you can make is greatly appreciated.
