Joe Lopez's Recovery Fund

I am setting up this GoFundMe to help my brother Joe Lopez. He has always been a supportive person in my life, a man of faith, honor, dedication, and love. Joe is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and has been married to his wife for 35 years. Joe and his wife have two beautiful children. Joe has been self-employed for the past 27 years.

Diabetes has challenged his health over the last several of years and he has fought hard to regain optimum health through diet, exercise, clean living, and proper medical treatment. His eyes and vision have been affected. He's had multiple eye bleeds, laser treatments, injections, surgeries, and suffered partial vision loss in his left eye. On July 5th, the day before his 57th birthday, he suffered a serious hemorrhage in his right eye. The vision in his is 20/70 and cloudy at best.

With the inability to see even his phone screen, (thank God for Siri) he is unable to work, drive or leave his home without help from his family. Until the blood clears in his right eye, he will continue to be be unable to drive or work.

Of course, this puts him in serious financial jeopardy in regard to his business. He'll have contracts unfulfilled, office equipment he cannot repair and will have to pay others to do the work required.

My hope is by calling on friends, family, and the church of God we can support Joe in his time of need. If you know Joe at all, then you know his character, intelligence, and quiet strength.
