Joe was surfing at Crescent Head (and probably ripping) on Monday the 5th of July when he encountered a 3 meter great white shark.

He sustained severe injuries to his right arm and was airlifted to Newcastle, where he is currently undergoing multiple extensive surgeries to save his arm.

He is stable and fighting strong however requires long term treatment. The journey to recovery is in its early days and any help from the community to get Joey back on his feet (hanging 10) will go a long way.
