Joe Hilbert Car Accident
Donation protected
On the morning of May 3rd, our long time family friend Joe Hilbert was involved in a major car accident. He was traveling to work early that morning when he was involved in a 2 vehicle collision. Joe was found unconscious and hanging out of his vehicle with major injuries. He was taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital in Hamilton, MT.
Joe endured extensive injuries, which has resulted in an estimated recovery of a minimum of 3 months. He spent one night in the hospital, and returned home against medical advice. Joe chose to return home to continue his recovery in hopes of not accruing anymore medical costs. Joe does not have health insurance, and he knew the financial burden he would be facing and didn't want to add to it. He is now facing thousands of dollars in medical bills.
On top of his medical bills, Joe's truck was totaled. He is now without a work vehicle which he uses at his job at a local cattle ranch.
Joe is the sole provider for his wife, 4 children, and baby #5 that is on the way. They are now facing months without an income due to Joe being off work recovering from the accident.
Anyone who knows Joe, knows he is a humble man with a servants heart. Joe is the man anyone can call at any time of day, and he will show up promptly to lend a helping hand. Joe is a man of God, who exudes the love of the Lord with his family, children, and friends. Joe attends church regularly and serves in worship with his wife alongside him.
While $25,000 will not come close to covering the cost of the piling medical bills, vehicle, and wages lost; the goal of this fundraiser is to get Joe and Erin through the next few months. With 5 children's mouths to feed, regular living expenses, and extensive bills from this accident - Joe and Erin will need our help just to get by.
The funds will be used as follows:
-Living expenses (mortgage, household operating expenses, food, bills, etc. These are usually paid for by Joe's income he receives as a ranch worker)
-Medical Bills: From the ambulance ride, x-rays, medical treatment, night spent in hospital, etc. Joe is facing thousands of dollars in medical bills. The hope is to assist him with the beginning costs.
-Truck: Once Joe is recovered, he will need to return to work to continue supporting his family and begin paying back the debt this accident has brought. Without a truck, Joe is will not be able to work as he needs to.
-Baby on the way: Joe and Erin have 4 children, and are expecting a newborn baby in just a couple of months. As we all know, newborn babies come with lots of expenses. With Joe out of work recovering from the wreck, the family could use our help.
Joe Hilbert is not a man to accept help. Anyone who knows him, knows he prides himself on being a helper to others. In this season, he needs us. Please donate any amount you are able to, and say a prayer for Joe and his family.
