Joe Zamudio, he's one of the good ones.

Hi, I'm Joe's sister.
Six weeks ago, the big strong, capable man was fixing something on the roof and fell face-first into concrete nearly 14 feet. He has many injuries, including a break to both wrists and his arm, his nose, many bones in his face, a moderate concussion, vertebrae in his spine and one of his front teeth. He has had many surgeries and will need a few more before he's all put back together again.
He is so proud and hardworking that it has taken me a few times to convince him that people love him and want to help out in this terrible time. Due to being out of work as an independent contractor for the past six weeks and needing more time to recover after he starts physical therapy this week, Joe hasn't worked. He will need to have his tooth repaired and more surgeries on his nose and wrist. This fundraiser is for helping him get his tooth fixed and his bills paid due to being out of work all these months.
Let me tell you about Joe if you haven't had the pleasure of meeting him. He has shown his kind heart, encouraging words, and good deeds to more people than we can begin to count. Joe, an avid hunter, fisherman and a marksman, prefers to be self-sufficient. He has built a business repairing just about anything on the house from floors to window trim to roofing. He's learned so much from the contractors he works with every day. I want to show him how good we all can be for him this time, how all the positive things he has put out into the universe can become the blessings he reaps today, how God has been holding my brother in his hands all this time and will show him just how precious his life and his legacy are to all of us.
For anyone who knows my brother, you have stories of times that Joe has shown up to stand with you in a hard time. For me, he stopped working last fall for nearly six weeks and came to paint my house and to be a physical presence of support and practical help around the house when my husband was standing far too close to death's door due to illness. But that was only one time that my brother came, and his happy, helpful and kind disposition made us all the better for having him here with us. I know he has stepped up for many people lucky enough to call him a friend.
So let's work together and share this page with anyone who Joe might have helped or impacted through the years of his life. Or anyone who wants to help someone like Joe. Let's show him how we can bring good things to those who are honorable and hard-working, and kind.
He's one of the good ones.
