Movement lawyer Joe Welch needs community support
Donation protected
Update: Joe is out of options for transportation and needs help getting back on the road to courts around the state.
Movement lawyer Joe Welch needs us and our communities to help him continue to provide excellent criminal defense to poor defendants across the state. He travels extensively to defend indigent defendants and protestors and needs transportation to continue to defend them. Joe is a hero of the poor, keeping people out of prison and saving lives. He has defended dissidents all the way from Occupy STL, through Black lives matter, global anti-colonialism, and has also done gender diversity-specific criminal defense. Just like his clients, the whole state of Missouri benefits from having an abolitionist criminal defense attorney representing poor people. He is a true attorney of the people and needs our help. Please donate to help repair his car so he can keep showing up in court. Please also share widely!
Emergency: Joe's car broke down and he urgently needs $4,000 to fix the problem and get back to helping his clients, his family, and many communities.
