If you knew Joey, you knew he had a heart of gold. He would do anything for his friends and those he loved. My family loved him so deeply, through the best and worst of times. He was a great uncle to me, Kimme, and Noel, “shorty” as he liked to call her. We miss him very much. My mom, his sister, Dorothea, aka “Sissy”, has always been there for him, and there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for him. She always sacrificed herself for him, and stood up for him since they were kids, (even though she was younger). I watched her drop everything to be by his side the whole time before and as he passed, staying many nights in the hospital with him, just in case he needed her.
Unfortunately, financially, Joey did not leave us with any means to cover his final expenses. We are seeking funds to help us carry out his final wishes, so that we may pay our respects (while raising a cold one), and lift him up to waiting loved ones. The funds are needed to cover the costs of cremation, memorial services and lost income for my mom, as she was unable to work either job during this difficult time. Joey will be missed very much and will always be held close to our hearts. I am asking to Please find it in your hearts to help my mom help her brother for the final time, she is having a very difficult time and feels lost and paralyzed without her brother. Any and all donations are appreciated. Thank you, Kimme.
