In Memory of Joe Gillis
Donation protected
Joe Gillis...just mentioning his name made people smile. He was a great son, husband, father, brother, colleague, and friend. I feel very fortunate to have known him, and my life is certainly better because of him. He was there for me whether I needed advice, a friendly conversation, or a reminder to not take life too seriously. His awful dad-jokes helped me get through many stressful days.
At the office while sitting next to Joe for seven years, I observed his desk to be a revolving door of friends stopping by to say hi every day. Joe was generally quiet and laid back, except for when it came to his family. He would frequently talk about trips with his wife Andrea, or tell stories about his children, Carlyn, Delaney, and Jackson, along with all their accomplishments.
Although Joe had been battling cancer for many years, you wouldn't have known it when speaking with him. He hid his battle well and was not looking for sympathy, but rather concentrated more on how others were doing, what was going on in their life, and how he could help them.
Many have been wondering what they can do. If you are able, please consider even a small donation to help Joe's family during this difficult time.
Joe will be fondly remembered as soft spoken to the outside world and outgoing with his inner circle of family and friends. Joe was loyal, dependable and always there to lend a hand. Joe welcomed everyone with an amazing smile that lit up the room. Joe was a great guy who touched many people during his lifetime - he will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.
Thank you - your support is greatly appreciated.
