In Memory of Joe Gagne

Hi, my name is David Laferriere, more commonly known by the Gagne family as “Coach Dave”. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Joe and his family through coaching his 11 year old son Jacoby over the past few years. Unfortunately, tragically, Joe’s 5 children lost their father and hero recently. He leaves behind Cameron, Kiersten, Jacoby, Jameson & Ryder (17, 14, 11, 5, 4 years old) who are incredibly devastated by this loss. Joe was the type of person who would leave in the middle of a baseball doubleheader on a hot summer afternoon to get tents for shade for everyone at the field and squirt guns for all the kids to cool down. I unfortunately never got to share with him how much I respected him as a father and admired everything he did for his kids. Joe truly was one of the best fathers I’ve had the honor of meeting, and my heart breaks for my player Jacoby and all of his siblings. It gives me great joy recalling our recent conversations about how far Jacoby has come since we started, but unimaginable sadness that he won’t get to see how far he will go from here. Please help in honoring the memory of one of the greatest fathers there was. This was a man who would do anything in his power and beyond for his children, and if we can come together to help this family in this great time of need I truly believe Joe would have been the first person to extend his gratitude to each and everyone just knowing that it helped his kids. All donations will help the family with anything from the final expenses, groceries and bills to things that a 4, 5, 11, 14 or 17 year old might have asked their father for if only they had the chance. Knowing Joe, the answer would have always been “yes”. Thank you!
