There is a common expectation for men to “be strong” or “not show emotion” which carries a stigma around talking about their feelings. Additionally, men often have smaller emotional support networks which can lead to spiralisation of negative emotions.

Me and Alex have spent lots of time discussing the importance of men speaking out and we aim to further spread this word through the community.

To do this, we will be running on Sunday the 19th April to raise funds and awareness for men’s mental health; specifically the charity MANUP?. The distance we run however is up to you. As previously mentioned, we will run 1km for every £10 donated. All funds go directly to the charity and it is an amazing job that they are doing for struggling men .
