Joe Coffee's fight to survive
Donation protected
UPDATE:
It's been a little more than 6 months since our dad has been fighting AML. He isn't giving up, he's a fighter. There have been many setbacks but he's still in good spirits.
His insurance is running out, and bills are starting to rise.
To the people who have already donated, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your contributions have been a Godsend and has helped him keep going. Anything anyone can do, from prayers, and thoughts to a monetary donation would help our cause of bringing him home. He only has to drop another 15% blast cell count to be eligible for bone marrow transplant. Together we can help him beat this!! Every little bit helps.
My name is Michael Coffee, along with my brother's, Anthony and Daniel Coffee, and my sister Angela Coffee thank you for reading this and hopefully finding it in your hearts to help. Our dad Joe Coffee was recently diagnosed with advanced Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Undiagnosed, the prognosis is only weeks or months to live.
Directly after his diagnosis, his sister Paula Coffee got flights booked for him and my mother to fly to Houston to go to the cancer treatment center there. They are ranked #1 in the world for cancer treatment, and he's going to MD Anderson who's ranked #1 for his type of cancer.
All of this said, with the sudden decisions and sudden diagnosis, we were caught off guard. If you find it in your heart to donate, it will help pay for my Dad's fight to beat this horrible prognosis. At least it will help keep them afloat while he, God willing, beats the odds, (if anyone can do it, it can be him).
From the bottom of all of our hearts thank you for just taking the time to read this. Please if you know him keep him in your prayers, and send good vibes. If anyone deserves to beat this, it's him. Our dad is the nicest, most charitable man we have ever met. We may be biased because he's our father, but just ask anyone who knows him. From the time we can remember, he never has asked for anything, he's always willing to help others and gives to the point where it hurts him. He's loved by his wife, 4 children, and 6 grandchildren, whom love him with all of their hearts. He's the glue that holds us together, we don't know what we would do without him. If you can find it in your hearts to donate, we all will be so grateful. God bless you all and thank you!
