Joe Carli's Fight Against ALS

Born and raised in Plymouth, Michigan, Joseph Charles Carli, the third, otherwise known as Joey is a generous, fun, loving and adventurous guy who is always looking out for others. He graduated from Plymouth-Canton High School in 1981. In 1985 he attended auctioneer school in Missouri and graduated as an Auctioneer Colonel in 1986. He moved back to Michigan and along with his Mother and Father, opened up JC Auction Services. In 1988 they held their first auction at the Plymouth Community Cultural Center and have continued servicing the Community for the past 31 years.

In 2014, Joey married the love of is his life and they started building their future together. They live in Plymouth, Michigan with their cat Ollie and they are heavily involved in the Community.  Very much looking forward to the future, their plans were put on hold as Joey began to feel under the weather in April 2018. Thus began the grueling process of elimination to discover what was wrong. 

On January 14th of 2020, Joey was diagnosed with Bulbar Onset ALS. While ALS is a rare disease, Bulbar Onset is even more rare. This is why his condition took so long to diagnose. He is currently being  taken care of by the ALS Clinic at the University of Michigan and is fighting everyday. 

He is surrounded by people who love and support him.  We are learning as much as possible about the disease and trying our hardest to fight. We have set up this account to raise money to help him and his wife pay their bills for the next few months until their Social Security starts in July.
