Joe Bentley pay for his blood treatments.
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Terri Goss.
I have started this Go Fund Page for my nephew Joe Bentley.
Joe has just recently been diagnosed with Hemochromatosis and rheumatoid
arthritis. Hemochromatosis is a genetic disease that has no cure. It is when
you have an excessive amount of iron in your body. It leads to severe
conditions such as diabetes, heart failure, pancreas, kidney failure and cirrhosis of the liver. It also causes joint pain, abdominal pain, and fatigue. Men are usually diagnosed after the age of 40. It can be managed by treatments of regularly removing blood from your body, which could be as often as a few times a
week. Each treatment is almost $1100.00. He also must monitor his blood through tests, medications, and regular doctor visits. If not treated by blood removal, the worst scenario would be liver, kidney transplants, and heart failure.
Joe has insurance and must meet a $5000.00 deductible before it kicks in. Then it will only pay a percentage. Joe must meet his deductible every year. Joe has not been able to work for a year or more. He is filing for Social Security Disability; Joe was told it could take up to 2 years. An account would be set up at a financial institution, and payments would be made as the expenses come in. We
would appreciate any donations made.
