Hi everyone, my name is Nathan and who you see below is my dad, Jody.

My Dads Journey
Over the past 4 years, my dads health has declined rapidly. He lost a worrying amount of weight, was extremely fatigued and his cognitive function was declining; which soon lead to his inability to work. This left my mom is a position where she had to work long hours and multiple jobs all while being on a discouraging journey in finding out why my dads health had declined so rapidly. It was a rough time for my mom and I going to many doctors appointments, getting misdiagnoses' and ineffective treatments until just recently.
The Diagnosis
My dad was diagnosed with a sever form of dementia called frontotemporal dementia with motor neuron involvement. This type of dementia gives a bleak prognosis of an average survival rate of 4 years or less. Puzzled by how he could get this diagnosis at such an early age we decided to seek out what the cause of this could be. Upon more tests, it was discovered that he has a severe infection and mercury poisoning caused by the amalgam fillings in his teeth. The infection spread to his spine and potentially into his brain. This is also thought to play a part in his diagnosis of dementia.
The Solution
With this, we have decided as a family to take an integrated medicine approach and take on treatments that combine both natural and pharmaceutical treatments to give my dad the most optimal path to recovery. We are very hopeful and trusting in the doctors taking care of my dad. We will continue to be relentless in bringing my dad back to a healthy state.

Why We Are Doing A Fundraiser
As you know, medical bills can be incredibly expensive. And unfortunately, the medical expenses are more than we can afford even with insurance. We are looking to raise $13,000 for treatments, medications and supplements and to help financially support my parents during this emotionally and financially trying time.
What The Money Is being Used For
$5000 for treatments ($125 per treatment with 40 treatments required)
$7,000 for dental work to remove the infected teeth (the insurance covers half)
$1,000 for financial assistance and bills
We as an entire family thank you for your support and thoughts during this time. It isn't an easy road but knowing that we are surrounded by people who care and love my dad and our family has gotten us through this time.
