On July 16, 2019, Jody collapsed while working with cattle. Fortunately, Jessica, Lindsay and Libby were all right there. Lindsay and Jessica started CPR while Libby called 911. Jody was transported to Aurora Summit.
Jody is currently in the ICU. An MRI has confirmed Hypoxic Brain Injury but to what extent is unknown. Everyone remains hopeful as Jody shows signs of recovery, like wiggling her toes and sticking out her tongue when asked, and even mouthing yes/no answers to questions. She even mouthed along words as Libby read a favorite book from the girls’ childhood. All steps in the right direction.
The Knoebel’s are instrumental and active members of our community. They employ many youth at their farm and support the future of agriculture by donating their time and talents to 4-H and FFA programs. They are also members of Farm Bureau, Jefferson County Agribusiness and are members of Immanuel United Methodist church in Jefferson.
The Knoebel family gives back, now its time for us to do the same. Please consider donating to this page that will help with expenses as Jody recovers. I’ve set the fundraising goal high but have complete faith that we can hit it, or even better, exceed it.
