Hi, I'm Jennifer Mire and my younger brother, Jody (JD) Pelloquin, was recently diagnosed with brain cancer. Jody underwent brain surgery on May 16th to remove as much of the tumor as possible. The surgery was successful but the tumor was not able to be removed in its entirety. Jody received the pathology report on May 25th, which confirmed cancer. Jody will be undergoing treatment at MD Anderson in Houston, Tx, for radiation and chemotherapy. Jody and his family live approximately two hours from Houston and care will require frequent and unfortunately, expensive, travel to Houston. Jody and his wife have amazing jobs but will undoubtedly be out of work for extended periods and will most likely incur astronomical medical and living expenses. If you can find it within your heart and wallet to help, we would all be extremely grateful. Jody has been serving the people in Calcasieu Parish in the Sheriff's Department for over 25 years now.
