Jody Jacobs - Medical and Funeral Expenses

Hi, my name is Rebecca - I am starting this campaign on behalf of my best friend's mom, Jody Jacobs.

 

On January 25th, Jody was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that had spread to her brain. She moved to Atlanta to be with her daughter, Natasha, and begin treatment. She had a great group of doctors and they moved quickly - she had brain surgery to remove a large tumor on February 25th. The surgery was success, she was feeling great and was able to complete one round of radiation before she regressed in late March.

 

Wednesday, March 23rd, Natasha took Jody to the ER where they found a blood clot in her lungs and that the masses had grown so much that they were affecting her airway and arteries, causing immense pain. Unfortunately, she could not continue treatment and was moved to hospice on Saturday, March 26th.

 

Jody passed away on Thursday, March 31st. Natasha and her brother, David Armstrong, appreciate all the prayers and all of those who came to see her in her final moments and all of her friends, our friends, all of our and her co-workers and loved ones that reached out. She loved her grandkids, her kids, and her friends with every ounce of heart. Until the end, she was her feisty, funny, sarcastic self.
