hello loves, my name is Jody Galadriel Friend, trans musician and author living & lovin' in Indianapolis.
I came out as trans in 2020 and have been paying for the majority of transition costs out of pocket. Since I came out, I (trauma dump) faced a divorce, loss of community and family, a couple bouts of (mild?) homelessness, and have been working multiple service industry jobs to make a living, but it just won't cut it will it! Can't be cute and have money!
I've worked hardrn hell to get stabilized as a biologically adult human female on planet earth, written a book about it (Transangelicism out soon hiiii), and front a band called Public Universal Friend, which I think has added some degree of sparkle and grit to the Indy queer scene, but idfk. It's this or selling ass.
I think it's about time I actually asked for some help. It's weird, but I'm learning how. So here's what I've got:
laser hair removal ~ 3000
doctors visits ~ 1200
medications ~ 2000
missed work for appointments ~ 1000
wardrobe ~ who tf knows
so ~ 7200
any help will be blessed
these kitties aint gonna grow themselves
love you forever
