Jodi Beats Cancer
Donation protected
My sister Jodi Mai is determined to beat cancer. To shrink it, destroy it, cut it out, and disintegrate it. And she could use your help!
Jodi loves dogs and cats, babysits her nieces on weekends, hikes daily to stay fit, and cooks amazing Greek food (try her mousaka & baklava). She enjoys watching Dr. Who and Elementary, plays board games, dabbles in writing fiction, listens to books on tape, mows her own lawn and manages her own household. And she'd sure like to travel more someday. But first...

In February 2016, Jodi was diagnosed with stage IV ovarian cancer. If cancer hasn't touched your life (bless you!) you should know that Stage IV is the worst. In her case, it means the cancer has spread through the abdomen and into the lungs.
Treatment has already started. It involves multiple rounds of chemo, surgery, and then more chemo. We expect at least a year of active remediation, plus ongoing monitoring with blood samples, MRIs, ultrasounds, x-rays, etc for several more.
Thankfully, some of these expenses are covered. Jodi works full-time for the City of Yuma Police Department as an Evidence Technician, and we think her insurance will cover a portion of the medical bills.
We're raising money to help Jodi cover the rest of the costs. They may seem like small things, but they add up! $20 buys a headscarf for chemo. $40 buys gas for the trip to Tucson's university medical center. $60 pays for a discounted room. $100 offsets a lot of co-pays and puts a dent in her $4,000 annual deductible. Even $5 buys a nice cup of coffee to remember that life is about living it.
I hope you'll join us, helping Jodi in her fight against cancer, and donate today. Thank you!
