Help Jodi Golob and her kids

My friend Jodi is a single mom with four boys, working two jobs and going to nursing school. She is a 35 year old licensed massage therapist who has suffered two heart attacks in the last week. She is now diagnosed with Coronary Artery Dissection (a blown artery in her heart).  Likely she will never be able to work full time as a massage therapist again and will be unable to support her boys.
Jodi’s life will change in a very dramatic way. Minimally she will be unable to work for 3-6 weeks. If she is able to return to massage therapy, it will be on an extremely limited basis. Without working full time, Jodi will be unable to provide support for her boys and continue nursing school. As any one of us would, Jodi is stressing over her financial situation.  This, of course, only adds more strain to her heart problem.

This is a real-life NIGHTMARE. Jodi is currently in acute care at Littleton Adventist, in Colorado, her four boys are farmed out to friends, and we don’t know at this point how long she will be in the hospital.

Jodi is no stranger to rough times; she has suffered through more adversity in her life than any one person should go through; however, that has not kept her from marching forward.  She has always had a positive attitude and worked her way through many trials and tribulations. She has touched so many peoples’ lives as a courageous and compassionate person. For this reason, it is important that we give some of that compassion back to Jodi. There is so much light in this woman, please do not let this latest heartbreak bring her down.  She needs our help and support. 

Any money donated will help Jodi and her family stay afloat in everyday life, continue attending nursing school as well as pay any upcoming medical expenses. Nursing school is the long term plan for Jodi, she knew that massage therapy would not be sustainable; however no one could have guessed that her only means of income would be taken away from her so quickly and abruptly. Please help give Jodi peace of mind that she will be able to continue to support her children. Jodi is not one to ask for help and is not one to “live off the system”; it is me and my family’s goal to keep her off welfare, please join us in this mission.
