So I guess there's no easy way to say this but... I have cancer on my brain and spinal cord. It's in the fluid and it's starting to attach to me. I will be starting radiation first after that is done I'll be moving onto a chemo that will be administered through my head. ☹️ This is all that I know really so if you have a question chances are I don't know. Of course prayers are always welcome. Jim and I thank you all for always being amazing supporters!

Jodie's words:
My Story....I don't know where to start. Since August 1, 2013 I've been in a whirl wind of crazy doctors visits, tests, scans, etc.
On August 8th, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer at 30 years old. Cancer does run in my family genes and I was tested positive for the BRCA2 cancer gene. It's going to be a long rough road, but I have the best support system anyone could ask for!
This isn't much of a story, only because I'm not sure what to say.
This sucks!! I hate that this is my current path, I wish I had a fwd button to just get me to the finish line. But like I said before, I have a GREAT support system so far and I know by the end I will have the best support system anyone could ask for.
I love you all and appreciate you all very much!! I don't know if I can say this enough. Life is to short to not let those you love know, that you love them!
So this is my story...
In March of 2012 I was giving myself my usual self check in the shower and noticed a lump. Unfortunately, I was just let go from a job lost the insurance and my new jobs insurance options were not available to me yet. A few more months pass and the options that my new job offered were unbelievably insane! No way was I ever going to be able to afford. I was left to find my own.
I finally got my finances in order to where I was able to get my own, but unfortunately again it was 1 1/2 years after I found my lump.
So here I was going to my first doctors appointment on August 1,2013. I met with a great Doctor, Dr. Heather Taggart. She was shocked at what I showed her and she rushed me to Midlands for tests. From that day on I met with multiple doctors, had multiple scans, tests, and biopsy's.
So here I sit today August 22, I had my first of many chemo therapy sessions and was also given a shot to put me into a temporary menopause. My cancer is feeding and growing off my hormones and estrogen. By the end of this my 'Medical Team' will be able to save me, but my chances for having my own children are an extreamly thin to unlikey chance.
