Jodie's Thyroid Cancer Medical Bills Fundraiser

Hi, I'm Jodie and I'm raising money for my medical bills to pay for my thyroid cancer treatment. I've already been through one round of paying for half my thyroid to be removed under private health insurance and used up all my savings. I now have to get the other half removed and start radiation treatment.

It's important to me to get the surgery ASAP to ensure that I am around and kicking for many years to come. I have lots of lives to make a positive impact on, especially when I finish my social work degree, and I want to spend the rest of my life helping people. I would appreciate any help to get me closer to being able to pay for my surgery.

The funds will go towards my surgeon, hospital and anesthesia bills, as well as helping me with the support that I will need after surgery in my recovery. There will be ongoing medications that I need to pay for also once the surgery is complete. It will also allow me to pay my rent and bills while I'm off work for a couple of weeks, as I don't have any leave remaining at work after my first surgery.
