Hi, we have made the decision to set up this page for Jodie's partner, James/Jammy, and their little boy, Zakary, to help them out at this very difficult time. This is with full consent and blessing from James and the family. With all donations arranged to be paid to James and Zakary directly.
On Wednesday, 7th January, Jodie was at work when she suffered a cardiac arrest. She was luckily surrounded by some amazing colleagues at Next who administered CPR until the emergency services arrived. The fantastic effort of the nursery staff gave us all 17 more days with our beloved Jodie, giving her every chance possible and being able to surround her with love.
Jodie was admitted to the AICU at the Glenfield Hospital, where she was cared for 24/7 by some amazing hospital staff who were dedicated and attentive to her needs. After 12 days on life support, the decision was sadly made by the consultants to turn off the support due to the severe brain damage she suffered with a 0% chance of survival.
Jodie, being Jodie, was a registered organ donor, which was wonderful to learn and did not come as a surprise due to her caring personality.
Once Jodie's life support was turned off, Jodie continued to fight for a further 5 days.
James and her family stayed by her side throughout, surrounded by friends.
Jodie sadly passed away at 13.45pm on Saturday, 24th January 2026.
Her bubbly, loving character and contagious smile will be sadly missed
by everyone she came into contact with.
Details of the service will be published once they have been confirmed.
