Jodie always made it very clear that when the time came, she didn’t want a sad, somber funeral. She wanted a Celebration of Life - a party!

She truly loved spending time with her family and friends. So we want this gathering to reflect her spirit— sharing stories, memories, laughter and love, and celebrating the person she was and the life she lived.

We would love for you to join us from wherever you are.

We welcome stories of your favorite memories to be shared live.

We hope you can join us as we remember Jodie and celebrate her life exactly the way she wanted.

A limb has fallen from our family tree and with a soft whisper says, “Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song and the good life I lived while I was strong. Remember how truly blessed I was. I am with you in your memories until we’re together again.”

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jodie Des Roches on Dec 27th, 2025, embraced in the love of her husband and children.

Jodie met and married the love of her life, Al Des Roches, 62 years ago. Together they had 8 children: Bonnie, Randy, Cora, Kenny, Dave, Julie, Lori and Rik.

Jodie was known for her strong will, unwavering determination, and love and support for her family, friends and community. Her legacy continues in her children who adopted her values of honor, commitment, resilience and perseverance. She instilled strong family traditions, especially during the Christmas season, that will live on through her 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

She passed in comfort and with a smile as she spoke of her reunion with her son Kenny and her parents Jim and Joyce Roberts. There is peace and joy in the Lord’s plan for this life and the next.

In lieu of flowers please send donations through this GoFundMe which will be distributed to various children’s programs in Kensington.
