Jodie Palmer Hayden has the heart and pride of a prize fighter. Along with this trait, she is a modest, independent force who is both spirited and compassionate. Despite her strong will and value of privacy, she has blessed her friends with the opportunity to help her through a collective effort to lessen the burden of her current struggle against cancer.
For 15 years, or as it seems, 15 rounds, she has graciously laced up the gloves against this shitty disease. She has been courageously battling Stage IV inflammatory Breast Cancer with Bone Metastases. Despite the numerous times she hit the canvas, she continues to amaze us as she insists on getting back up and hitting it back twice as hard. As we all know, this is not a battle to be fought on her own. It may challenge the emotions and physical stamina of the body and family, but it can not defeat the spirt of love she so delicately emits to all those in her circle.
It also takes a financial toll. And that is where we have the opportunity to help. Those who know Jodie directly understand that she is reluctant to give the blessing for this type of assistance. But we know that she would take any measures to ease our hardships any time that she would be given the chance.
Jodie, as well as her husband Jim, and sons, Tim and Dean, have quietly tackled the obstacles of this challenge. Understand that when you give to this cause, you are supporting a humble, kindhearted woman with a caring heart and unstoppable spirit. For those who can, please give generously, but understand that no amount is too small. For those unable to help at this point, please share this link to ensure others in her circle can get the opportunity to help.
Cancer sucks. But she is bigger than cancer. And so are we. Let’s help to show it won’t defeat our spirit.
With love and gratitude from the extended friends and family of Jodie and Jim’s Care Village.
