Support for Jodi battling stage 4 cancer

Hi my name is Elisha Simon and I am creating this page to help my beautiful amazing sister Jodi. My sister had been battling breast cancer for years and was finally in remission. On February 22nd, 2024 I received a devastating call from my brother-in-law Terry telling me that Jodi was diagnosed with metastatic stage 4 breast cancer, that spread to her brain. Life has been a roller coaster of emotions since. Treatment started quickly with chemo and radiation. We were informed that there is no cure for Jodi’s situation so there has been many nights of tears and praying. On April 9th Jodi will have a series of scans and tests. On April 10th we will have the results and learn if the treatment is working to shrink the tumor to a manageable size, to know if surgery is a possibility, to reconfirm the cancer type. Needless to say, this is very scary times for Jodi and my family. Regardless of the outcome, we know for sure my sister will be on 2 types of immunotherapy for the rest of her life. A quote by the medical team….our goal is to have Jodi die with cancer and not from cancer….

Jodi is the sweetest soul. An amazing person with the biggest heart. She is my only sibling. I can’t even put into words how important she is to me and my family. We have started a rotation shift to be by her side. It started with my mother, now my father and his partner Sylvia are there and I will be travelling next. We all know how finances can be a stress. I don’t want Jodi and her husband Terry to worry during this nightmare of a situation. They need to focus on her health and staying strong and positive. So here I am, asking for support for such an incredible person that doesn’t deserve any of this. Anything will be appreciated, even sending positive vibes her way would be enough.
