Jodi MacMinn’s Road to Recovery Fund

If you’ve attended a show at Baltimore’s legendary 8X10 Club in the last decade, then chances are good you have encountered Jodi. From working in the box office and behind the bar, to running the shows when the owners were out of town, to working with national acts like Cris Jacobs, Turkuaz, and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Jodi has been a true “Jill of All Trades” at the club.

Working behind the scenes at festivals like Charm City Bluegrass, Believe in Music, and the MoonRise Festival, artists and crew alike are always happy and grateful to see Jodi on site. Her energy and love for music are infectious and inspiring to us all.

Jodi suffers from Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD), which is a genetic disorder characterized by the growth of numerous cysts in the kidneys. There is no cure for this disease, and while medication is available, Jodi’s condition is too far along for any meds to help. This extremely painful condition makes even the simplest tasks difficult, and Jodi’s ability to work is severely limited.

On December 4th, Jodi will have a fistula implanted in her left arm. This will serve as the port for hemodialysis, which will begin in 6-8 weeks. Jodi will then be on dialysis 3 times a week for the rest of her life. The costs of this regimen, along with the surgery costs, will be enormous.
We ask for your help, and there are several ways you can do that.
Please donate to the cause. No amount is too small. All the funds go directly to Jodi, and will be used immediately for her quickly mounting medical bills.

Please visit bethematch.org, and be an organ donor. You can literally save someones life by visiting the site.

Please share this campaign on your social media. It just takes one click.

Jodi is the last living female from her mother’s side. Her Mom, Aunt, Grandmother, and Great-Aunt have all passed away from this disease.

Together, we can help break the cycle.

With Gratitude,
Team Jodi
