On August 3, 2020,  Jodi was hospitalized and later diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).  Currently, she is receiving treatment at MD Anderson in Houston where she is completing her first cycle of chemotherapy. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Dustin is not allowed to stay with Jodi and is at home in Newton with their children.

Jodi's regimen involves treatment and care for a total of two years. There will be an extensive amount of travel involved as much of this has to be done in Houston.

This account has been set up at the encouragement of friends who have asked to donate to the travel, lodging and uncovered medical expenses that will arise during this journey.
