Jodi Alexander Edmonds Brain Surgery and Recovery

Hello everyone near and far!
It not normal for some of us to reach out for help, but sometimes we have to get out of our comfort zone and do what we have to do.
My name is Nikki. I am the daughter-in-law of Jodi Alexander Edmonds.
On February 19th which seemed to be an extremely long day. Started out as a check up in the doctors office, turned into and Emergency visit very quickly.
Sitting in the doctors office after weeks, months of her changing. And seeing her loosing her a little more every day has been extremely hard. We ran numerous amounts of memory and general health test. And it killed me seeing this loving, intelligent women struggle. Moms visit with her doctor was over. Planning to send her home waiting for appointments to be scheduled in the near future. Turned to the doctor did not feel comfortable with mom leaving so she was asked to be sent to the ER. Her loving, nervous, big teddy bear husband Don escorted mom through the doors.
CT scan was ordered because mom was showing signs of having a stroke on the left side of her body. Which then led to having a chest X-ray. With in 30 minutes of waiting the doctor came in. All we could do was hold our breath. Doctor said so CT scan shows that there is swelling in moms brain and was unsure what it could be either a tumor or cancer. In order to find that out was running a MRI scan. So we were put on an Urgent list for the next in line scan. Well she made the cut and within about 1 hours and a half they had a cancellation. Mom was gone for an hour. (Longest hour ever on an empty stomach by the way.) 4:15 PM hit and the doctor walked in and ask to get moms husband on the phone so we can hear what was next. Holding my breath dialed the number and the doctor began. So there is tumor that could be cancerous on the right frontal lobe of her brain the size of a golf ball. The swelling in moms brain is causing the daily headaches and the drooping in her face, memory loss, and delay responses.
Doctor then said we will be needing to contact the neurologist on Monday for  Tuesday to plan for brain surgery for the next day or two.
So with that being said this Tuesday determines when we go in for surgery this coming up week to remove part, or the whole tumor. In that process we will also find out if this is a malignant tumor or cancer. Mom has been placed on anti-seizure medications because where the tumor is can cause seizures. Mom was also placed on steroids to help.  The doctor has now revoked her driver's liscense and she has been instructed she is not to be left alone.
We have been informed mom will need physcial therapy and occupational therapy. Moms going to need lots of help and patience.
So this is why I am reaching out.
I know everyone is going through a hard time during this pandemic.
Please send positive vibes and Prayers for healing and strength in this hard time.
