In Loving Memory of Joctan Garcia

It is with deep sorrow, the Garcia family shares the passing of their beloved son and brother, Joctan Garcia, who was born on September 21, 1995, in Scarborough, Ontario, and went to sleep in the Lord on August 30, 2025, in Lacombe, Alberta.

Joctan was a kind, caring, and joyful soul who touched the lives of everyone who knew him. His smile, laughter, and loving heart will be deeply missed.

This sudden and unexpected loss has placed an enormous burden on the Garcia family. They are now facing significant expenses, including:

-Transporting Joctan’s body from Lacombe to the medical examiner in Calgary, and then home to Toronto

-Burial and interment costs

-Headstone and memorial expenses

With no life insurance in place, these costs, estimated at $20,000 have fallen directly on the family during their time of grief. In addition, Joctan’s parents must urgently fly home from Nicaragua to attend their son’s funeral and say their final goodbye.

The family is humbly asking for the support of relatives, friends, and community to help ease these heavy burdens. Donations will allow them to bring Joctan home, lay him to rest with dignity, and surround him with the love of his family.
