Vincent Amico Hurricane Laura- Jockeys and Jeans

Donation protected
Jockeys and Jeans friend, paraplegic former jockey Vincent Amico and his wife Tiffany"s mobile home and property have been destroyed by hurricane Laura. Located in Vinton, LA just a few miles from Lake Charles, this area was hit the hardestby the storm. They spent the night in their vehicle accompanied by their pets,  parked in a friends nearby barn . Vincent said a tornado blew the barn doors down and one landed on his vehicle which was extremely frightening. They returned the next day to find the roof blown off their mobile home, their porch gone and windows blown out. The inside of the home sustained severe water damage. The home and the contents are not salvageable. In addition, they lost the roof on their barn.

The hurricaine has left the Amico's and their pets homeless. They are currently residing in their vehicle. There is no power or running water on their property. The home and the contents were not insured. The Amico's live on a very limited income and Vincent's health problems make the current circumstances dire.

Although we are hoping that FEMA will provide temporary housing, the funds raised here be used to help obtain a new home and household items for Vincent and Tiffany .

From all of us at Jockeys and Jeans, we thank you for contributing to help the Amico's get back on their feet.

Sincerely,
